GoodSign Link

"Connecting the world"

GoodSign Link was created as an addon to our Digital Signage solution. After several functionality requesets it has grown into being a product which also can be a stand alone product.

Simply described it is a notification system which can be used in more or less any branch and business. It consists of a physical button, which when pressed, sends a message to our server. Depending of the configuration the server will act accordingly.

Our first project was a system which works as a silent alarm system installed at gold shops in Thailand. If an alarm is activated it will immediatelly send an alarm to the digital signage player at the local police station, which will change from displaying the ordinary digital signage content till displaying an alert message. While triggering the alarm it will also play a sound file on the system to attract more attention.

The alarm displayed will show information about the name and location of the shop as well as CCTV live footage from the happening. The CCTV footage shows valuable information in order to analyze the situation as well as getting a description of, and in some cases identify the robber(s).

In phase 2 of the development we also developed a mobile app which receive the alarm notifications. This app is used by the police officers, and depending on what district they were registered at, it will show the same info on their screens. This makes it possible for the police to act extremly quick during an emergency situation.

So to hit the right receivers for each store, we configure the alarm functions with a specific location. In Thailand we sort by Region, Province and District in addition to the exact address. Similar, we also do the same for the receivers.

The receivers of the alarm messages have a similar configuration, but some Police stations receives emergency alarms from the whole province. These are typically the larger police stations which often have a wider juridiction than the smaller ones.

Later on, the same tehnology was made for restaurants. When a customer needed service they simply click the button which is attached to the table. Then the service staff immediatelly receives a notification with a message telling the table number of customers requesting service.
